Could The Motorola Xoom Be A Viable Competitor To The iPad?
The Motorola Xoom is getting a fair bit of attention at the moment in the tablet space. It is likely to be priced somewhere around the $700 to $800 level in the US, putting it right on par with the iPad.
The Xoom features a 10.1 inch HD display, video playback in 720p HD for crisp images, and a touch screen with pinch to zoom navigation. It is also the first tablet with a duel core processor for double the power and double the speed, which will make it very attractive to anyone wanting to watch a lot of video on the tablet.
It also has a built in HD camcorder, and front and rear camera's, for web conferencing. The rear camera is a 5MP camera with digital zoom and LED flash. Added to this is 1GB Ram, which makes it an excellent tablet for multitasking.
The Xoom is also the first tablet to run the Android 3.0 operating system, which is the first operating system designed specifically for tablet computing, this also means that it supports flash video.
The launch date for the Xoom is likely to be the 17th of February in the US.

iPad 2 Predicted To Have Double The Screen Resolution
This is obviously still rumour as Apple virtually never releases the specs of new products before they are officially announced. However icons hidden in the iBooks app suggest that the new iPads will have a screen twice as sharp as the original iPad. This means a resolution of around 2048 x 1546.
There is precidence, for this in that Apple doubled the resolution of the iPhone 4, so this makes the rumour more likely. One consequence of the greater resolution will be a lot more RAM required, and also an upgraded mobile video card. Other rumours regarding the design and functionality of the new iPad tablet is that it will have a front and rear camera, and may not even have a home button.
The iPad 2 is likely to be released in April in the US, and then in the following months globally.

Why Retro Gaming Consoles Are Becoming So Popular
If you have an old gaming console up in your attic somewhere you might want to dig it out. You could be about to make a bit of mony from your old console by selling it because these consoles are becoming very popular these days. What might happen is that instead of selling the console you will connect it back up to your television and then become hooked all over again wondering what made you put it away in your attic all those years ago. Playing retro gaming consoles is like revisiting your youth. Even though the technology in gaming has improved drastically since your old gaming console was new to the market, you may still get a lot of enjoyment from the games you can play on it. And if you have still been using this gaming console since it was first introduced then you will be glad to know that you are now fashionable again.
The fact is that many people chose to get rid of their old consoles and they are probably regretting that decision now. Many people can't wait to get rid of their old items once they buy something new. How are we to know that it would all become fashionable again. But if you have a look on eBay, you will see just how much some people are prepared to pay for these old games consoles and the games that they can play on them. Maybe you should have a look up in your attic because you may have put an old console up there years ago that is now worth some money.
Retro gaming has created a whole new generation of fans for those games that some of us played in our teens. There is a lot of enjoyment to seeing our own kids struggle to finish games that we once struggled with when we were there age. One way to really impress your children is to show them how to get past these tough levels - that's if you can remember, of course.

Correcting Mistakes When Online Shopping
As with any type of shopping it is possible to make mistakes during the process of online shopping. These mistakes may include ordering the wrong item, ordering the correct item in the wrong size or color, providing the wrong shipping address, providing inaccurate billing information, purchasing the wrong quantity of an item and even dealing with mistakes made by the online retailer. This article will discuss some effective strategies for dealing with mistakes made when online shopping and will also provide some tips for avoiding mistakes when online shopping in the first.
Contacting Customer Service Immediately
Mistakes made when online shopping are typically realized either immediately after the purchase is made or else they are not realized until the order arrives. However, regardless of when the mistake is realized the first step for correcting the problem is the same. As soon as an online shopper realizes a mistake was made with his order, he should contact customer service immediately. In situations in which the mistake is realized immediately after the order is placed, correcting the mistake may be fairly simple as long as the online shopper contacts customer service to describe the problem immediately. If the order has not yet been processed, the customer service representative may be able to make the corrections before the order proceeds. However, many online retailers have their online shopping process completely automated which can make it difficult to make changes to the order even when it is recognized immediately. This may occur because the order has already been transferred to the shipper and the online retailer no longer has the ability to the files.
Even when a consumer does not realize a mistake has been made until the item arrives, he should still contact customer service immediately to report the problem. This is useful because this first call to customer service will start a record of the problem which will be useful in getting the problem resolved. The customer service representative can provide valuable information the consumer can use to rectify the problem as quickly as possible.
Making Returns when Necessary
When mistakes are made with an online purchase, it is often necessary to return the items to the online retailer. Online retailers who also have traditional stores may allow the online shopper to return the items purchased online to a traditional store. The other option for making returns is to ship the item back to the online retailer directly.
Depending on the cause of the mistake there may be different options available for returning the item to the online retailer. If the online retailer is at fault they may assume the responsibility for the cost of the shipping and may even make arrangements to have the shipper pick up the item from the shopper’s home. This is both cost effective and convenient for the shopper. However, when the shopper is returning the item because he made a mistake or simply did not like the item the consumer will likely be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to the online retailer.
Tips for Avoiding Mistakes when Online Shopping
Although correcting mistakes made during online shopping is not always difficult it is far better to try to avoid these mistakes in the first place. The best way to avoid mistakes when placing an order online is to carefully review the purchase before submitting the order. Most online retailers provide shoppers with the opportunity to verify information such as the items being purchased, shipping address and billing information before the purchase is submitted to the online retailer. Online shoppers should carefully review all of the information provided on this verification screen to help avoid making mistakes which can be costly in terms of time or money.
Mistakes when online shopping can also be avoided by placing the order through a customer service representative as opposed to through the online retailer’s website. This method can help to limit the potential for mistakes because the consumer has the opportunity to converse directly with a representative who can answer any questions the consumer has about the product. Therefore, mistakes which often result from the consumer misreading the product description can be avoided.

Five Good Reasons Why You Need To Have A Night Vision Security Camera System For Your Home
In our modern busy society today, we can not continually be in the home. In reality, in contrast to the way in which things were just a few decades ago, our homes today are left unoccupied and unguarded a lot more than anytime in the past.
Both spouses typically work and are gone during working hours. We take part in increasingly more functions and activities that take place outside the home such as visiting the gym, civic get togethers and events, and engaging in school activities together with our children. Never before in history has there been more time spent away from home than today.
When we're gone, we are worried about the security of our home. One option that can eliminate this worry is by using the new home security camera technology which is now available. Once it was only thought that the affluent could afford their own video security systems for their homes. That is not any longer the situation. Very reasonably priced systems can be obtained now that will allow you to add night vision security camera coverage to your home and property.
If you have ever wondered about these systems, or require a push over the edge to do a bit of looking around to see what is available, here are five reasons why you will want to take a look now.
You Can Check On Your Home From Anywhere In The World:
The Net has changed the way in which we live. And one good example is the way we can now use our home Internet hookup to connect to our home security system and see what is happening from wherever we are. This functionality is not expensive and it is now built in to the most modestly priced systems.
Get Alerts By Email Or On Your Mobile Phone:
Modern home security systems, whether installed by using a security company or the more cost-effective DIY systems, permit you to set them to email or text you whenever an event activates the system. You can even set it up so that movement detected by any of the infrared camcorders can deliver an alert. This kind of functionality works day or night. The ability of your night vision video camera enables it to see in the dark and let you know of any activity.
View Video From Your System On Your Web Enabled Cellular Phone or PDA:
When your cellular phone or PDA is Web enabled, it is easy to set up your night vision camcorder system to send a live feed that one can receive anywhere you might be. You can enable the system to display one camera only, or if you have more than one you can actually set it up with options to change the video source as well as the length of the feed coming from each infrared camcorder. The reassurance that arises from just having the ability to check to see that things are okay is a great feature of these systems.
Make Certain That Your Teenage Youngsters Arrive Home From School Safely and Securely:
Mothers and fathers that have to be away at work when the school day ends know what a great feature this really is. Just knowing that the youngsters are home Okay allows us to end our workday without the need of constant worry in the back of our minds. Video security cameras can be set up both to check the outside of your home and inside in common areas. More and more people are adding interior video cameras in their system for this reason.
Monitor Other Property You Own Such As a Vacation Home or Business:
While most people think of putting together a night vision security camera system for their home, the low cost of today's systems make it cost effective to put in a system just about anywhere. If you happen to own a beach home or other vacation get-away, or for people with small businesses or rental property, it's simple and economical to add a system to these places. The ability to check up on your other property whenever you want will give you a great level of comfort. These systems have become very affordable. Plus the features that make use of the Internet to enable you to keep tabs on your system in real time make them extremely usable. Give yourself some peace of mind and check into adding your own night vision home security system.
